A fantastic and rare example of a Gibson Nighthawk Custom. A fairly short lived model, running from 1993 to 1998 in its original guise. This particular guitar being from the centenary year of 1994, with the 94 style serial number marking 100 years since Orville Gibson began making musical instruments. Fantastic build quality, as you'd expect from Gibson during this era. Top end custom spec with the ebony fretboard, crown inlays, full binding and highly figured top. A very versatile instrument, with the unusual combination of a mini humbucker in the neck and a slant humbucker in the bridge, coupled with a five way selector switch, giving a huge tonal pallet. Very clean condition for an instrument of this age. No fret wear, some very minor marks, fading of the gold plating on the pickup rings and one lacquer crack around the nut. This example is completely original and supplied in its original brown and pink hard case, also in great condition.
